Applications
Polyacrylamide is used in the production process of papers, such as white board, coated paper, paperboard and printing paper, which use wood pulp, straw pulp and waste paper pulp as raw material.Mainly used as reinforcing agent in papermaking process, as fine fiberfill retention agent and filter aid.
When used as retention agent and filter aid, polyacrylamide can increase the retention of net fibers and other wet part additives, speed up network filtration and dry part dehydration. Retention of ash is significantly increased. Retention rate of first layer fiber is averagely increase more than 10%.Rentention of starch is increased, creating favorable conditions for the use of starch as interlayer reinforcing agent.
Paperselling profits are increased. Meanwhile, filler cost is also cut down. Water filtration ability is greatly improved, which guarantees a corresponding increase of speed at 8-10%(average).Generally speaking, large molecular weight polymers have better retention performances while low molecular weight polymers have better filtration ability. When used as dispersand. it can improve the uniformity of paper sheets.
Can be used as flocculant for paper pulp wastewater treatment. Remove the organic parts of the wastewater. To be combined used with inorganic flocculants. It can separate out the precipitation, with a clearness rate at 70-80%.It can relieve the overproof problem of wastewater’s COD.
